ALERT's values are reflected in a new law passed by the Portuguese Parliament.

 

On March 3, 2017, Law no. 8/2017, which establishes a new legal status for animals in recognizing them beyond "things", was published in the National Official Journal. 

 

It is with great pride and satisfaction that ALERT sees its organizational and shared values, which reflect respect for all living beings, mirrored in the new legal status for animals.
