One Patient – One Record
Since 2007 ALERT has moved from local implementation of episode per visit centered solutions, to regional implementation of patient centered solutions.
By storing this information in ALERT® HIE and processing it with a Data Governance engine, ALERT is creating a Health Information Data Center which gathers and organizes the patient related information in a single Patient Account.
Furthermore, because our health information is more than just the clinical data that can be found in all healthcare facilities, ALERT’s main goal is to enlarge the EMR by connecting MyALERT® (or other interoperable PHR) with ALERT® HIE, and thus create a Centralized EHR that will allow clinicians, patients and health researchers to improve the effective treatment of patients.

Interoperability
Regarding software standardization and interoperability initiatives, ALERT® follows international directives for interoperability and standardization in software development.
ALERT® is a proud participant in the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) initiative, and an active member of HL7.
Moreover, by using common nomenclatures and pre-defined data for categorizing content, and by inter-relating information to several dimensions, ALERT® helps users to accurately document their activity. This way, all clinical information in ALERT® is coded in the database, and all of the relevant information relating to the patient and treatment can be captured, coded, classified and grouped.
