Tuba City Regional Healthcare Corporation expands its ALERT offer by signing a contract, in July 2013, for the ALERT® HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE (HIE) solution.

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC), a Joint Commission accredited health center, provides services to a 6 000 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. TCRHCC has a bed capacity of 73 and plans to double in size, through and Elder Care facility, within the next year. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures.

TCRHCC has contracted and implemented ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL for its Electronic Health Record platform. By expanding TCRHCC’s capabilities to include ALERT® HIE, access to sharing patient information with the State of Arizona’s HIE (HINAz) becomes a reality. Providers within TCRHCC will have access to patients’ medical information regardless of where they received care within the State of Arizona. Likewise, participating hospitals will be able to access patients’ medical information, from within ALERT® EHR, which was documented at TCRHCC. This will allow for the sharing of medical information across hospitals regardless of where care was provided or which type of Electronic Health Record was used.

ALERT is dedicated and a leader in its pursuit of following standards such as Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) and Health Information Exchange (HIE).
