On September 3, 2014, ALERT® was upgraded to v2.5.2.21 at the healthcare facilities integrating the Minas Gerais Secretary of State for Health in Brazil.

In the scope of this operation ALERT® EDIS, which is implemented at the emergency departments of 33 hospitals, and ALERT® MANCHESTER ONLINE, which operates in 261 primary care centers, were both upgraded.

The upgrade was a success, and it was carried out in half of the estimated downtime.

The emergency departments included in the Minas Gerais Secretary of State for Health project process an average of 440 thousand monthly episodes and they have 42 263 users (including physicians, nurses, other exams technicians, imaging technicians, lab technicians, social workers and registrars).

The new ALERT® version includes, among other functionalities, the shortcut button, which allows for easier access to various application areas; the EHR viewer, now has an option entitled "Links", which enables the grouping of external applications in a single location; and the inclusion of areas with additional information on the applicable previous episode, besides the reason for visit.

The Minas Gerais state is approximately the size of France and has a population of 20 million inhabitants.
