On July 19, a migration from ALERT® ER to ALERT® EDIS was carried out at São João Hospital Complex (SJHC), in Porto, Portugal.

SJHC integrates two facilities: São João Hospital (SJH) and Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Valongo Hospital (NSCVH). This migration process involved the transfer of SJH's over one million and four hundred thousand episodes recorded in ALERT®ER into ALERT®EDIS, which is already implemented and working at NSCVH.

To make this migration possible, 400 professionals, including physicians, nurses, ancillaries, registrars, case managers and technicians, were duly trained.

With this migration, SJHC will now have access to new ALERT® functionalities, such as drug-drug interactions, order sets, treatment protocols, the ability to change biometric data in the personal configurations area of each user, information transfer between different areas, timeline view of previous episodes, ALERT® TV, electronic prescription, and other. ALERT® EDIS will also bring a significant improvement in performance in relation to ALERT® ER.
