The Espírito Santo Hospital in Évora, in conjunction with the myPartner Healthcare team, has initiated the inventory of its fixed assets.

Indeed, it is the first time since its creation in 1495 that this Hospital decides to undertake the thorough inventory of its fixed assets. This decision has originated the setting up of two working groups: one to coordinate and supervise operations, and another one, made up of 6 members of staff, to actually make the physical inventory.

Concurrently, a specific web portal has been developed and included in the Hospital's intranet. This will enable the follow-up and the supervision of tasks performed daily. Operations should be concluded by February 2008.

The launching of a post-inventory phase is also expected. This new phase will involve the management of fixed assets according to the CIBE (guidelines concerning the inventory of the assets of the Portuguese State), its physical-accounting reconciliation and subsequent accounting treatment.
