ALERT® ERP - Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management, mobility component, went live at Amato Lusitano Hospital in Castelo Branco.
The available mobile functionalities relate to material and medication reception, inventory and picking. Application users have stopped using paper and have started using mobile equipment only (PDA's). This device can be used to list materials and medication in the central warehouse (reception) and also in warehouse counting. It can also be used to document the removal of materials and medication from shelves, medication which will later be distributed among the services and nursing wards (picking).
This is yet another example of making processes simpler and faster, which increases efficiency and productivity levels at the hospital.
