The third high-level Ministerial eHealth Conference took place last 23-25 May in Tromso, Norway. This year's edition of the European conference on eHealth was jointly organized by the European Commission, the Luxembourg Presidency and the Norwegian Government.

MNI was invited to integrate the Portuguese ministerial delegation and participate with a stand at the eHealth 2005 Exhibition, where the ALERT suite of products was on display. The exhibition gathered national examples of best practice, thus allowing the attendees to see in one visit the best of what is done in Europe in the field of eHealth.

The conference focused on best practice and examples of how eHealth can improve patient care, while highlighting how much Member States can learn from one another. At the end of the conference, the European Commission called for greater partnerships between governments and the private sector to make significant advance in the computerisation of healthcare across Europe.
