At the 2006 Annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition, February 12-16, 2006, in San Diego, California, USA, MNI will participate both as an exhibitor and as part of the Interoperability Showcase. More than 24,000 attendees are expected at HIMSS this year to attend educational sessions and explore the newest Information Technology available for healthcare.

The Interoperability Showcase will illustrate technology and standards within multiple healthcare environments. Interoperability will be demonstrated by creating an electronic health record (EHR), and will include laboratory results, radiology images, medical summaries, and cardiology reports. The demonstration will focus on why interoperability is essential for workflows and will illustrate how patients can participate in their own care.

Catherine Glenz, RN, BSN, MNI's Chief of U.S. Operations, will participate in the Interoperability Showcase as a docent. There are more than 5,000 people expected to tour the Showcase, including foreign dignitaries, members of Congress and key government officials.
