“Genial!” (Genious!) was the name of the project that won the Inter-Schools CATÓLICA Science and Health award  promoted by the Institute of Health Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal and sponsored by ALERT.

The team, composed of two students from Barroselas Secondary School, in Viana do Castelo, won the first prize among 132 other teams from participating schools across the country.

The theme explored by the teams was "Science, Healthcare and Volunteering in Unison" and was related to 2011 – European Year of Volunteering, an initiative that deserved ALERT's support.

The ceremony was held during "Candidate's Day" and was attended by many candidates to Nursing and Engineering courses of the Catholic University.
