The Christmas party for the company's employees and their children shared the same time and space as the opening of the exhibit Ser e Crescer – Arte na Aldeia (Growing and Being – Art in the Village), which closes the Art as Intervention project – a partnership between ALERT and Crescer Ser.

This event took place on December 18 at ALERT's head office, and was attended by 20 adolescents and their teams from three of the seven children's homes of Crescer Ser – Associação Portuguesa para o Direito dos Menores e das Famílias (Portuguese Association for the Rights of Children and the Family).

The adolescents from the homes of Canto, Ameixoeira and Vale were the guests of honor of this party, which included a tour of the facilities, a concert by the Círculo Portuense de Ópera Children's Choir, delivery of participation certificates, the exhibit's opening, a Christmas tea party and gifts.

The Ser e Crescer – Arte na Aldeia exhibit symbolized the completion of the first Art as Intervention project, a partnership between ALERT and Crescer Ser, that was developed between May and October. The art work displayed included objects made of wood, paper, clay, cloth and recycled materials all of which were made by adolescents of the three homes during the six art sessions held in Serra da Lousã.

Those who participated in the project received a participation certificate that was awarded by ALERT'S CEO, Jorge Guimarães, and the head of the project, Cristina Meireles.

ALERT's employees, showing amazing solidarity, provided the gifts, and this made it possible for the adolescents to have their Christmas wishes come true.
