Another ALERT® INPATIENT Go Live at INCA's Cancer Hospital I, Brazil

On June 26, 2014, ALERT® INPATIENT went live at the Adult Hematology Ward of Cancer Hospital I (Hospital do Câncer I - HC I) in Brazil.
With 12 available beds, these services integrate a team of 12 physicians and 14 nurses. The facility processes an average of 35 monthly inpatient episodes.
ALERT® INPATIENT also provides support to the Abdomen Services, the Intensive Care Unit, the Post-operative Unit, the Urology Services, the Oncology Services, the Plastic Surgery Services and the Head and Neck Services of that hospital.
HC I is the National Cancer Institute's (Instituto Nacional do Câncer – INCA) largest healthcare facility and one of the most well equipped hospitals of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. This 244-bed hospital provides diagnosis confirmation, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to cancer patients.
With over 70 years of activity, INCA is a Brazilian Health Ministry body which develops and coordinates preventive and control actions on cancer. This institution's mission is to also provide care to patients suffering from the disease. For this purpose, the organization has various hospitals in Rio de Janeiro.
