ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. has won an international public tender, through its Italian partner, SIGMA INFORMATICA, to computerize the ULSS6 facility in Vicenza.
This project is divided in two phases: the first phase will contemplate the computerization of San Bortolo Hospital's emergency services and General Medicine inpatient department; the second phase will see the beginning of the total computerization of San Bortolo's services and of another hospital located in Noventa Vicentina, which also belongs to that facility.
This project is very important for ULSS6 and for the Veneto region where the city of Vicenza is located.
Vicenza's hospital, a reference hospital for 300 thousand people, has around 1 000 available beds and offers 40 outpatient specialties. ALERT will ensure the removal of currently used paper-based documentation by implementing the ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL product suite.
The aim is to acquire paper-free status, to enable professionals to improve the care provided to patients and optimize times and processes in general. The implementation of ALERT® software intends to effectively respond to the requirements of ULSS6 of Vicenza regarding risk management and resource optimization analysis policies.
Giancarlo Ruscitti, the Regional Secretary for Health, highlights that ULSS6 of Vicenza will be watched closely because it is a pioneer project which could then be extended to all hospitals in Veneto. This commitment has been accepted and emphasized by César Guimarães, ALERT's CEO, and by Antonio Alessandri, Managing Director of ULSS6 of Vicenza.
