ALERT® went live at Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo, Brazil

ALERT® EDIS, a management solution for the Emergency Department, went live at Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo on November 23, 2009.
 

Considered the biggest and most advanced hospital complex in Latin America, Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo has a total area of 143.000 m2, 1 920 beds and offers over 40 medical specialties. In 2009, this hospital received an award from José Serra, São Paulo's Governor, after being classified as one of the State's ten best hospitals. It was the only private hospital among the awarded facilities.
 

The Emergency Department of Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo has six different available specialties and processes an average of 7 500 emergency episodes per month. Over 228 professionals at this hospital received training in ALERT® during the implementation process.
