MEDICA, the worlds largest medical trade fair was recently held at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, and featured the complete range of new products, systems and services for inpatient and outpatient care.
The 40th anniversary of the event featured almost 138 000 visitors (compared to 137 000 visitors in 2008) from over 100 countries and 4 324 exhibitors from 60 nations.
Highlights at the MEDICA Congress were the international continuous medical education sessions which were held in English for the first time. Topics included oncology diagnostics and therapy, patient monitoring at ORs/ICUs and heart surgery procedures.
Rienk Keuning, ALERTs Senior Vice President for Global Business, made the following comments: Our booth was continuously visited by many interested visitors from both Germany and other countries, including many from the Netherlands, which is always the case at MEDICA. Some visitors even came from Asia, confirming that MEDICA has an appeal far outside of Germany. The many visitors to our booth made themselves comfortable and showed great interest in the latest features of the ALERT® suite of products. Even though we have been on the market for quite some time now, there are always people who continue to be amazed by the ease of use of our applications with their touchscreen functionality and unique user interface.
Next year, MEDICA will take place on November 17 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
