ALERT signs contract in Malaysia with the Penang Adventist Hospital

ALERT Life Sciences Computing Asia Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of ALERT Life Sciences Computing S.A., signed a contract today with Penang Adventist Hospital in Penang, Malaysia, to deliver ALERT® Paper Free Hospital suite and ALERT® Referral software for their entire hospital and network of general practitioners. 

 

With this complete suite of integrated clinical information systems, Penang Adventist Hospital will be able to complete its transformation into the leading integrated digital hospital in Malaysia by leveraging the powerful capabilities of operating in a true paper free environment. 

 

Dato´Teddric Mohr, CEO of Penang Adventist Hospital elaborates: "in embracing ALERT®´s solution to bring us from paper-based to paperless systems, we expect to achieve a quantum leap in terms of patient outcomes and improving patient care. After evaluating other solutions, we decided upon ALERT® because the philosophy of ALERT® matches closely that of Penang Adventist, which is to leverage the latest technology to improve the care or patients. 

 

The digital transition of medical information at Penang Adventist Hospital started in the 1950s and was upgraded many times. Today we continue the tradition adding to our digital x-rays (PACS) which provides all x-ray films on request in 4 secs, films also available via the internet, medical laboratory pathology reports direct from all machines, and a fully integrated campus for medical doctors offices, patients rooms, diagnostic services, community GP office, nursing school, and more. 

 

Patients come for services expecting outcomes that meet international standards. Penang Adventist Hospital is spending this money to consolidate all patient information for quick recover by the physician, reliability of data, and the ability to research all patients of a particular disease to understand the best outcomes for future patients."
