Póvoa do Varzim/Vila do Conde Hospital Center decided to implement ALERT® OUTPATIENT in its Outpatient Department, which attends to 63,000 patients per year.

This Hospital Center contracted ALERT® EDIS in March 2006 and, in September 2006, the Emergency Department was already paper-free. The integration of these two ALERT® modules will facilitate the full implementation of an electronic health record for all patients.

Today, ALERT® OUTPATIENT was also acquired by Gama Pinto Ophthalmology Institute, an institution specialized in Opthalmology, with 39,000 appointments per year.

ALERT® is currently implemented in over 50% of Portuguese hospitals and is now starting to draw the attention of specialized institutes.
