After being implemented in 9 hospitals and 75 Primary Care Centers in Portugal, ALERT® REFERRAL was now adopted nationwide. This solution will be implemented in every hospital and Primary Care Center of the Portuguese National Health System.

ALERT® REFERRAL was designed for request and triage of first appointments between Primary Care Centers and hospitals, enabling the establishment of priorities based on clinical protocols.

Representative hospitals and Primary Care Centers from all five Regional Health Regions in Portugal (North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo, and Algarve) were included in the initial project, which went live December 20, 2006.
