Luiz Brescia, Managing Director of ALERT Brazil, was very positive about ALERT's participation in “PEP 2009 – Prontuário Eletrônico do Paciente” (Electronic Health Record) in São Paulo, Brazil. According to Luiz Brescia, discussions such as the ones had during this event are important for Brazil's development. "ALERT is present in over 30 countries and is a reference in this subject matter. PEP 2009 was an opportunity to show how we can improve people's health and their well-being by using our solutions", he declared.

The conference, which took place from November 4-6, 2009, was organized by the Brazilian Society for Health Informatics to debate issues related to the patient's electronic health record, such as the tool's implementation, legal aspects, experience sharing, plans and reality, different perceptions, human resources for clinical IT and government projects regarding electronic documentation in healthcare.

ALERT Brazil's Managing Director highlighted the importance of PEP. "This event gathered professionals interested in this subject matter, who were given the opportunity to become acquainted with the company's solutions. Besides the private sector, ALERT also focuses on the state sector where there is a great demand for clinical software as the government is keen to modernize the country's healthcare".
