ALERT was involved in the interoperability showcase, which was organized by IHE Europe at the Health Information Technologies (HIT) Exhibition that took place in Paris from May 27-30, 2008.

The company’s presence at this interoperability showcase resulted from the successful participation at the European Connectathon, which was organized by IHE and took place in April, in Oxford, and where ALERT achieved two new IHE Integration Statements.

Once again, ALERT® demonstrated, in pragmatic terms, the ability to integrate an infrastructure (Regional Health Information Organization - RHIO) that uses interoperability standards in the set-up of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) that is shared by various hospitals.

Visitors of the IHE booth had the opportunity to watch demonstrations of real interoperability functionalities by the participant systems (with no simulation of on-line transactions).

This interoperability showcase was sponsored by Groupement de Modernisation des Systèmes d'Information Hospitalier (GMSIH) - an agency for the modernization of hospital information systems. This organization, which is supervised by the French Government, works closely with IHE, and promotes the use of its integration profiles in the healthcare systems in France.

This participation has demonstrated that ALERT® is able to comply with interoperability requisites, which are also adopted in France.
