On November 30, 2014, ALERT® OUTPATIENT went live at Salman Al Abdallah Al Dabbous Cardiac Center, which is a hospital that specializes in cardiac conditions in Kuwait.

This Go Live will benefit 66 users at the hospital’s outpatient clinics, among them physicians and nurses. ALERT® is already live and fully integrated with five external systems at the facility: ADT and SCHEDULER, RIS, Pharmacy and two cardiology exam systems.

Prior to the Go Live, around 25 500 patients, 2 000 appointments and 4 500 exam reports were migrated to ALERT®, and the connections to legacy systems were set up in order to enable access to the patients’ clinical history from ALERT®.

At the end of the first days of the Go Live the following was processed in ALERT® OUTPATIENT: 600 appointments, 390 medication prescriptions created and integrated with the Pharmacy system, 60 exams ordered and integrated (RIS, ECG, ECHO, etc.) and 3 500 HL7 messages exchanged between ALERT® and other systems.

This was the first phase of a project that comprises the implementation of the ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL suite of products at Salman Al Abdallah Al Dabbous Cardiac Center. This Go Live was a joint effort between ALERT and Advanced Technology Company – ALERT’s partner in Kuwait.
