ALERT® ORIS went live on January 7, 2013, at the Hospital do Câncer II (HC II), of the National Cancer Institute (INCA), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This facility's Surgery Center performs an average of seven surgical interventions per day and will now benefit from ALERT's solution for operating rooms. On the first day with ALERT®ORIS six episodes were processed in the application. The professionals were able to start using ALERT® very quickly in these services as the hospital's emergency and inpatient departments already use ALERT®.

Besides the Surgery Center, HC II also has an Intensive Treatment Center with a capacity for six beds, a Post-Operative Unit with three beds, Ambulatory services, Emergency services and a Chemotherapy Center with a capacity to process 25 episodes per day.

With seven floors and 83 beds, HC II has 490 employees and it is INCA's hospital unit for Gynecology and Clinical Oncology Services. HC II receives patients for treatment in ambulatory, inpatient and surgical interventions, and is among the best equipped hospitals of the Brazilian Unified National Health system.
