ALERT® INPATIENT went live at the Oncology Services of the Cancer Hospital I in Brazil

ALERT® INPATIENT went live, on February 18, 2014, at the Oncology Services of the Cancer Hospital I –(Hospital do Câncer I – HC I), in Brazil.


With 19 available beds, the Oncology Services has an average occupancy rate of above 90 percent. ALERT®'s inpatient module will benefit a clinical team of 35 physicians, including 20 resident physicians, and 46 nurses and nurse technicians.


HC I is the National Cancer Institute's (Instituto Nacional do Câncer – INCA) largest healthcare facility and one of the most well equipped hospitals of the Brazilian Ministry of Health.


This 244-bed hospital provides diagnosis confirmation, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to cancer patients.
In addition to being the head office of INCA's Board of Directors and the Bone Marrow Transplant Center, HC I also plays an important role in cancer research, as well as in organizing medical and nursing residency programs and specialization courses.


ALERT® INPATIENT also provides support to the Abdomen Services, the Intensive Care Unit, and to the Post-operative Unit of that hospital, since October 2013, and to the Urology Services since January 2014.
