ALERT® went live at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, in Portugal, on May 13 as part of the celebrations of the day of Our Lady of Fatima.

The computer application for the Sanctuary's infirmary went live at the weekend, during which more than one thousand appointments were documented.

The aim was to simplify the assistance provided to patients, from their registration to medication prescription.Furthermore, ALERT®allows physicians, nurses and registrars at the infirmary, located in the House of Our Lady of Sorrows, to access numerous statistical data related to pilgrims' health.

15 physicians, 20 nurses and 10 registrars received training for this Go Live.

The project included the following specialties: Emergency Appointment, Pediatric Emergency, Nursing Appointment and Triage.

5 735 people received assistance in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima's infirmary in 2010.

Injections, dressings, blood pressure measurement, appointments and the lending of wheelchairs are some of the main services provided.
