ALERT was one of the exhibitors at the Department of Healths ASCC South-Market Awareness Day, which took place on Tuesday, November 24, at the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre Lawrence Hall in London.
This one day exhibition was meant to give the ASCC suppliers the opportunity to display and demonstrate clinical applications that will support Communities, Child Health and Acute settings.
Christine Connelly (Director General for Informatics and Chief Information Officer for Health, Department of Health) opened the event with a welcome speech for suppliers that emphasized the significance of this day for the NHS and the value from using the ASCC framework to select suppliers.
Laurence Campbell, ALERTs Managing Director in the UK, confirmed the importance of this occasion: The NHS Southern region market awareness event was essential to inform, demand and improve market awareness of clinical applications that are available in the Community, Child Health and Acute sectors in advance of the start of a series of procurements utilizing the ASCC framework in January 2010. The event was well attended by NHS IT Directors and Clinicians from more than 70 organizations interested in procuring an advanced clinical solution like ALERT.
