On August 4, 2014, ALERT® EDIS went live at the Basic Emergency Services of Vila Nova de Foz Coa in Portugal.
The ALERT® solution for emergency services was adopted by a team of 28 professionals that includes seven physicians, 17 nurses and four registrars.
These Basic Emergency Services benefit from a fast data transfer service into an Orientation Center for Emergency Patients (Centro de Orientação de Doentes Urgentes), which helps to quickly diagnose and direct patients to reference hospitals with the respective Coronary Clinical Pathway.
Regarding lab services, the facility offers cardiovascular markers, which are also employed to diagnose strokes. Finally, the facility includes an extended and improved Observation Service.
