ALERT Life Sciences Computing, Inc. sponsored and had a demo booth at the Texas Health Institute Summit which was held in Austin, TX from January 14 - 16.

Over 300 physicians, nurses, practice administrators, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders flocked in droves to learn and discuss the adoption and implementation opportunities of health information technology (HIT). Texas Health Institute and TMF Quality Health Institute organized the unique Texas Health Information Technology Summit, the first learning opportunity of its kind to be held in Texas. The Summit provided multiple learning opportunities for those looking to begin utilizing electronic health records (EHR) or wanting to learn more about the alphabet soup of HIT technology. Of particular interest were interpretations and discussion of the new "meaningful use" guidelines as recently defined for use in establishing reimbursement for EHR implementation.

According to Jerry Colachino, ALERT’s V.P. Sales, “ALERT performed several demos in the area of Private Practice. Demos were very well received and clients were very impressed with the user interface and various features.”
