ALERT is participating in the HC2011 Health Informatics Congress at ICC Birmingham, UK, which is taking place between April 5 and 7, 2011.

HC2011 is the UK's largest, most powerful and rewarding event for health informatics and social care professionals.

This year’s conference has attracted some high profile speakers including Rt. Hon Andrew Lansley CBE MP, Secretary of State for Health who will address the conference on the opening day and speak on the theme:  “No decision about me without me – information and empowerment”.

Mike Sinclair, Chair of BCS HC2011 organizing committee says: “We are very pleased that a sitting Secretary of State is attending our event for the first time.  This reinforces the importance of information and informatics in supporting and enabling the NHS to deal with the challenges and changes that it is now experiencing.”
