ALERT Life Sciences Computing, Inc. successfully participated in the North American Connectathon sponsored by IHE and HIMSS in Chicago, January 15-19, 2007.

ALERT® EDIS integrated with several vendors in the Patient Care Coordination Domain (PCC) using the Emergency Department Referral (EDR) integration profile as a Content Consumer.

Additionally, ALERT® EDIS was able to integrate in a secure setting similar to a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) environment which is used for healthcare information exchange.

Specific profiles used by ALERT® EDIS in the Connectathon demonstration include:

  • Patient Identifier Cross-Referencing (PIX);

  • Audit Trail and Node Authentication (ATNA);

  • Consistent Time (CT);

  • Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS);

  • Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing Medical Summary (XDS-MS);

  • Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing Scanned Documents (XDS-SD).

    ALERT®'s Integration Statements are published on the alert-online website under the Concepts / Interoperability / IHE menu.
