The ALERT Group, which has its head office in Portugal, is going to fully computerize two Italian hospitals in the Veneto region. The contract was signed with ULSS6, a facility that has its head office in Vicenza; this contract contemplates the implementation of the ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL and the total removal of paper from the two healthcare units in question. "The computerization project of the healthcare services is of great importance to the ULSS6 and for the Veneto region," mentioned the ALERT Group. The two facilities serve a population of 300 thousand people and they have around 1 000 beds and 40 outpatient specialties.
The ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL implementation will be accomplished in two phases. The first phase will involve the computerization of the Emergency Services and the Inpatient Department for General Medicine of San Bortolo Hospital. At a later phase ALERT® will be implemented in other San Bortolo services and in a facility located in Noventa Vicentina that belongs to the same group of hospitals.
